Swimming Lessons for all ages run in small groups at North Huddersfield Trust School, Woodland Glade in Bradley and Bunka Swim Centre in Sowerby Bridge.

Welcome to Aquastrokes Swim School Huddersfield

Hello and welcome to Aquastrokes! I’m Ruth Walker and I have been teaching swimming for over 20 years. I provide swimming lessons in friendly swimming pools in Huddersfield, run in small groups for children and adults.

Aquastrokes was formed in 2001 and I have taught many pupils young, old and children with special educational needs to swim to a high standard. I specialise in teaching swimming lessons to young children, so your child can commence lessons from 4 months old up to an early competitive level.

My ethos is to encourage your child to swim independently and be taught strokes at a very early age. Many pupils who commence swimming lessons at pre-school age can swim unaided using correct strokes by the time they start school.

I use the Swim England swimming award scheme including Ducklings, Water Skills, Bronze, Silver and Gold. I also teach Rookie Lifeguards and water safety in my swimming lessons.

The swimming lessons are all run in small groups at North Huddersfield Trust School, Fartown and at Woodland Glade, Bradley, and my swimming lessons run during term time only, which I find works well not only for the children but for the parents too.
