Lesson fees.
Fees are due at the beginning of each half term.
When the half term weeks cover 2 consecutive months, swim fees can be split into 2 payments. The full balance must be paid 2 weeks before the end of term.
Weekly payment plans can be requested but are but only with prior permission of the swim school owner Ruth Walker.
Payments accepted are Bank Transfer or cash.
Cancellations
Anyone wanting to cancel their swimming place will be require to give
4 weeks’ notice. If a refund is due it will be processed by bank transfer after the last lesson attended after the notice period.
Lessons cancelled by Aquastrokes will be credited the following half term or refunded if the pupils are not continuing.
Lessons cancelled by Aquastrokes at short notice are not always the fault of the swim school but the pool operator. In this instance, a member of Aquastrokes staff will inform the parent/guardian as soon as possible. Via Whatsapp message or other social media.
Medical conditions and special educational needs
All medical conditions and Special educational needs must be shown on the booking form. A separate form will be emailed or handed to a parent/guardian be completed and returned.
It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to make sure that medicines are on poolside and readily available. All medicines must be clearly named.
Valuables
Aquastrokes will not accept liability for loss or damage to any personal effects when brought onto the premises.
Teachers
At Aquastrokes we strive to make sure there is consistency with all lessons. If a teacher is absent we will always cover the lessons with a fully qualified teacher. All our teachers are fully level 2+ trained and accredited by either Swim England or Swimming Teachers association.
Behaviour
In the event of a swimmer, parent, guardian sibling or another associate behaving in an unruly manor, or causing damage to the premises and equipment, they will be asked to leave the premises and lessons terminated until further notice without fees being refunded.
Use of mobiles, filming and recording
There must be no filming, recording or Photographs taken unless prior permission has been granted. This is line with Child protection rules and Swim England guidelines. A consent form must be completed to allow any photographs or videos to be used by staff at Aquastrokes for publicity or to be put on social media. Anyone filming or taking photographs without consent of Aquastrokes will have their lessons terminated and no refund given.
Rules and Regulations
No prams to be taken into the changing rooms
Everyone to remove shoes or use the pool covers before entering the changing rooms and poolside.
Use the correct changing room. Any child over the age of 8 must use the correct changing room. No adult males in the female changing room. No adult females in the male changing room.
If your child is under 8 please supervise them in the changing room and on poolside before and after the lesson.
Do not leave clothes in the changing rooms or in the changing area. Use the lockers provided or bring on to the poolside.
Do not leave towels and shampoos in the showers before or after the lesson.
Encourage your child to use the toilet and blow their nose before the start of the lesson.
Before the start of the lesson please make sure your child does not run around the poolside or play in the small baby pool area. Please encourage them to sit until their lesson begins.
No eating or drinking in the changing room or poolside.
Do not over use the showers as the hot water supply is not instant water but a tank fill system which does run out.
If using Talc please stand on a towel, do not throw it on the floor.
